Day 11 Oh…Corona

I wonder if we will have different nick-names for the pandemic in different countries, like we do for McD (or “Macs,” or “Makkee,” or “Mickey D”…) Granted, the two are not in the same category…or are they not?
In Vancouver, we refer to the pandemic as “COVID.” Here, it is the “Corona.” And, after narrowly escaping it at least four time that I know of, fifth time is the charm. I am the third in to get tested positive after waking up with a slight fever and a sore throat. Thankfully, my appetite and taste buds stays.
It is the weekend. And while I was looking forward to exploring and visiting a whole list of places I want to go, I have been forced to rest. But if there is a time on our schedule to get sick, this is it. I have the weekend and two lecture days to get well. I have in my room a newly stringed guitar, a new pile of library books, and an “emergency exit” that really is the door to the garden and the whole yard where I am free to roam with my camera. Food is delivered to my door. So I really should be thankful.
But I really hope no one else gets sick, because we would really like to go to Galilee like we planned.
PS: My phone is legit non-functional now. It would be interesting to experience the world without it for these 18 days.
