We organized ourselves to visit the Israel Museum today.

The shrine of the Dead Sea Scrolls was dark to prevent light damage upon the fragile fragments. The large outdoor model of the ancient city of Jerusalem included Golgota with crosses on it.

We arrived after breakfast in time to catch a guided tour in the archeology section. Our guide conveniently pointed out many of items on my treasure-hunt list provided by Victor: the stone inscribed with "House of David," the stone inscribed with "Pontus Pilate," the nail in a crucified man's bone...

After lunch I went back to take a slower tour. It feels surreal to be looking at items from the time of the Lord.

It was a good visit, but short. I left wondering what stories I missed at the Israel Museum about the non-Jewish Israelis.
